Sweet, spicy & full of flavour, Chai is our go-to comfort drink on a cold winter’s day. Plus the traditional Indian spices help to aide digestion and boost the immune system. We’re often asked how we make our Chai lattes, so we’ve decided to share the yummy recipe…
1. Add 3 perfect teaspoons of Chai tea & 1 teaspoon of raw sugar (or agave / honey) to your magic filter. Chai Black is our classic blend, but you could also use Chai Red for a caffeine free alternative with rooibos.
2. Add a splash of boiling water, just covering the tea and sugar, then fill the magic filter up to the top with hot milk / almond milk / soy milk (heat the milk in a microwave or saucepan until hot but not boiling.) Leave to brew for 3 – 5 minutes.
3. Give the brew a stir and then place the magic filter on top of a mug. It will automatically pour out into your cup and filter out the tea leaves. For a super professional finish at home, use a handheld milk frother and add some frothed milk on top. Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg. Et voilà!
Spice up your Chai!
During step 1. try adding a little something extra to increase the health benefits of your Chai & give it a yummy twist:
