The foundations of brewing a good cup of tea are The Leaf, The Water and the Freedom for the two to mingle

We blend and serve only quality loose leaf tea. Tea leaves contain the essential oils and compounds which provide the basis for a good cup of tea. When the leaves are broken during production these tasty oils evaporate before they've even met the water. Bigger leaves retain more of their oils.

The typical tea bag contains mostly tea dust and broken leaf particles. Tea dust allows for a fast release of bitter tannins which gives tea its colour but lacks flavour and depth. Larger leaves hold more of their essential oils which infuse to make a rich, full and smooth drink.

Since tea is mostly water it's important to have high quality water and the space for the leaves to dance around. In our shops we use Brita water Tfilters to make sure our water is purified and will produce a lively cup of tea. As tea leaves need room to swell, expand, and unfurl (this is known in tea parlace as the agony of the leaf) any tea bags cramp and restrict this process; even speciality tea bags that hold large leaves are forced to compromise.

Our focus on Loose Leaf Tea gives us the freedom to be truly creative and experimental. We never have to worry about minimum factory runs and our teas will never sit on a shelf for months. We can blend, curate and release new tea collections quickly and just for the fun of it!
